Ideas and knowledge in exchange with business and society

The "Campus to World" project strengthened the transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology between the H-BRS and society from 2018 to 2022. The focus was on citizens, municipal partnerships and business cooperations. Project partners such as Wissenschaftsladen Bonn and  Forschungszentrum Jülich supported the institutes and facilities of the H-BRS. The federal-state initiative "Innovative University" funded the project with nine million euros over five years.

"Participate - Research - Educate" was the motto of the sub-project oft he engagement with the region and ist citizens. The aim was a mutual transfer of knowledge at eye level between scientists and citizens of the Rhein-Sieg district and Bonn. Interested people could actively participate and develop questions together with the researchers, collect data and, if necessary, jointly analyse and apply it. CitizenLabs with various topics and interaction formats were developed as exchange platforms. Some formats are also offered by the IZNE beyond the end of the project.

The part of the project presented here is aimed at primary schools in the German-speaking area and was carried out in these schools as part of the project. Therefore, the information and materials are only available in German.
